LapBand Information Day 75 – Orange Juice
Posted on 21. Apr, 2009 by Marcus in Video Blog
I think I am losing weight because of Orange Juice. Call me crazy but, that is the only crazy thing I am doing. I get up in the middle of the night to pee and I take a swig of Orange Juice. I think it is keeping my metabolism going. So, let me hear what you have to say.

The 3rd fill is May 10th. You’ll love the new mix of texture.

I haven’t been scheduled for surgery yet, but I’ve been “practicing” the program, and I lost 9 lb. in two weeks. My new addiction (and I say that with love) is Simply Grapefruit juice. No added sugar, no nothing— “unfooled around with” as Donald Sutherland says. Love the flavor, and I think it keeps my energy up. I put it over lots of ice and sip on it while I’m working at night. Who knows?

I don’t do allot of juice. I mainly stick with water and a lot of it. So, don’t drink to much sugar. But, who am I? I have no clue…..

Hi Marcus,
I’m on day 6 with my LapBand. I can’t wait until I can have an egg or a piece of chicken. Dang, even peas would be a welcomed change from liquids, pudding, plain yogurt, and CREAMED SOUPS. I’ see my doc for my post-op on Friday, so maybe I’ll progress to the mushy proteins & veggies.
I have a question. Did you ever get air pockets in your throat? It doesn’t matter what I or how slowly eat, I get these annoying air pockets/bubbles in my throat.
I look forward to your mresponse.
Blessings,
JB

Yes eating food is a good thing drinking it sucks. But, stick with it closely because it is rewarding. I never get the bubbles as you are describing. Everyone is different. It could be the gas bubbles releasing from your surgery???? Ask your doc if it concerns you. You just went through a pretty dramatic thing. SO it may take time to get used to. I did allot of Soup at Hand. I also started about where you are at with some really soft cooked eggs and had no problem. Not hard. But, when you are coming back up remember to count those calories. Good luck and thanks for watching.
