HERE ARE THE COMMENTS FROM OH
I decided not to try to replace all the clothes in my closet. I'm 6 months out, 110 pounds lighter and 12 inches less in the waist. a lot of people suggest going to the thrift stores. I decided to try to wear my existing shirts as long as I can and just recently all the 2X's became too big. I bought basic pants with elastic waist sand Docker's style with the expandable waistbands - these allow you to get more use before you grow out of them. 2-3 pairs of pants should get you by if you don't need to dress up much for work. Now I'm able to shop at regular department stores and you can find clothes pretty cheap compared to the big man's shops. Kohl's is my new clothing friend :-)
Paul

ON HERE THERE IS A CLOTHES EXCHANGE. OR GO TO GOOD WILL. THAT IS WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING. THERE IS NO SHAME
Vonage

Definitely go thrift storing. Many times I would get one size and within 1-2 weeks already be out that size. They have a lot of new and like new condition clothing. There is Goodwill, Salvation Army, and depending on were yu live, much more. Some of your local support groups might also do a clothing exchange. Or if not maybe you could get one going. Good luck on your WLS journey.

'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid insideways ... half a bottle of vodka in one hand ... a fat cigar in the other... a body thoroughly used up and totally worn out ... and screaming;'whooooohooooo what a ride'!' HW/251 SW/242 CW/142 GW/140 WOW!! 109# Gone

I had some clothes that were too small (one size down) which I'm in now...so when they are hanging off of me then I'll buy a few basic pieces to get me by to the next size. Right now I'm enjoying the stuff I haven't been able to wear for a while. (At least 3 yrs)

I have been to Goodwill already. It takes some time but they have some really nice and inexpensive clothes. I bought some new sizes from what I am in now down to a size smaller. When those start to get too big I will go find more. I have even run across name brand clothes and most still had tags from when they were origionally bought.

There is an incredible second hand store called "Savers", http://www.savers.com/ I'd see if they have one in your area. They have great prices on used clothes, some are even new. They even have a calendar that you can buy for $3 that has a coupon for every month. My husband LOVES that store.

Go onto Yahoo groups and search for your local FREECYCLE group. you can post what sizes of garments your looking for and local people that are memebers of that group will respond to your post if they have anything they can give you. Thats what I have done and I also gave away my old stuff and my husbands old clothes so someone plus size didnt have to by all those clothes that were very pricey. Thrift stores are awesome too!! GOOD LUCK

Ah Marcus,

Think of all the money you've saved not going to fast food places, not buying junk food, not drinking soda or coffee, donuts and other snacks, etc.

I think giving yourself a treat for the progress you've made is a good thing. A new pair of pants or two and a couple shirts. Makes a body feel and look good! Then look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Hey Baby, lookin' good"!

Hi Marcus, loved the photos! Great job!

I started in a size 22W pants and 2X top... went to Macy's on February 28th and bought a pair of 14W pants and some XL tops... they are too big now. I am buying a pair of pants every few weeks just to have something to wear... exciting now that I'm in a regular ole 14.... haven't been in that size in 17 years!!! Whoo Hoo! I'm done spending money now on clothes until I'm a size 10.

Hey Marcus.....we had a talk about clothes at one of my pre-surgery clasess....it had peeps who are at goal in it. They said they went to Good Will to get clothes during the weight loss phase. The clothes are so very cheap, and that way you can even get clothes through most of the journey and not spend much on clothes you will just wear for a short time!

Nice pictures of the bride! How long have you been doing wedding photography? Also how did you come up with the name of your business?

AND.....ta da.....got my surgery date today...posted to you on FB....April 13th...starting on liquids in the am.....any advice on how to get through, I would LOVE!!!!! Have a great day! Janis
